She received B.Arch. degree in 1995 from Istanbul Technical University (ITU) Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture, M.Arch. degree in 1997 and Ph.D. degree in 2006 from ITU Graduate School of Science, Engineering and Technology. She has been working at ITU Department of Architecture since 1998. She received Associate Professor title in 2015.

She has studies on building technology, constructional design in architecture, environmental sustainability and infrared thermography. She studied as a visiting post-doc researcher in Universidade de Lisboa - Instituto Superior Técnico in collaboration with Prof. Jorge de Brito and Prof. Inês Flores-Colen between December 2009 and September 2010 and between June and September 2013 with TUBITAK scholarship. Five indexed articles, one conference paper and three ICIST reports were published in relation to these post-doc research visits.
